Our new web site is SocialMedia.org.

Members chose the new name at our meeting in New York this spring, and we just went live with our new site. (See the press release here.)

The Social Media Business Council is a brands-only community that helps large organizations build successful social media programs. Members gain instant access and advice from the heads of social media at the world’s largest brands and collaborate in a friendly, productive, and private environment.

The Social Media Business Council is a GasPedal project (that’s my company). We teach word of mouth marketing and social media to companies of all sizes.

With a community of 60 members and a series of fantastic BlogWell conferences (including a new one coming up in Minneapolis in August), it’s an exciting time to be a part of this group. Check out our amazing members:
