Amazon set out these grocery lists notepads.
A flyer would have been thrown away. A notepad is used for weeks or months. Plus, it gets left on the counter where the whole family can see it.
Don’t forget about simple offline reminders that stick around.









So what I always wonder about things like this is…what about the loyal Amazon shoppers that don’t get this, but happen to hear about others who do? (Which is more and more likely nowadays.) Doesn’t this turn into a negative for them — “Amazon doesn’t value me as a customer enough to send me one of these, so maybe my loyalty is misplaced…”
If Amazon is doing their segmentation right then maybe they don’t care, but I don’t know.
