I listen to the Pandora free music service constantly. I love the company and want to support them, so I was going to send them $36 to upgrade.
But I listen late at night.
When I’ve got …
No pants.
No pocket.
No wallet.
No credit card.
And they don’t take PayPal.
At least twice a week they miss a chance to get my money by making it too hard to pay.
Are you missing something that makes it easier for people to buy from you?
P.S. I have asked Armani to stop using pictures of me listening to Pandora in their ads, but they keep doing it.
I’ll be honest, I memorized my credit card number years ago – mostly because I was shopping online without pants. Wait, that sounds wrong. Anyway, there are a bunch of ways to have your cc# on hand without actually having the card, so I don’t know that it is 100% Pandora’s problem…
1password. Does passwords and wallet items. I don’t even know my bank password anymore.
You could still use paypal and just use their one-time credit card number feature. PC users get the ‘benefit’ of having this credit card number generator in their browser tool bar (sounds scary), but Mac users like me are forced to do it online. Takes a couple of minutes to generate the number, copy and paste it where it’s supposed to go on the site of your choice. Maybe not as quick as putting on some pants, but at least I can spend my paypal funds with online stores that don’t accept paypal.
Ok, I take back some of what I said – I tried to upgrade to Pandora & they don’t take AMEX – which is the only card number I have memorized. So boo Pandora.
