I feel like in certain industries, great service is expected and so it’s harder to go above-and-beyond (not impossible, just a tad harder to separate from the crowd). That’s not the case with the airline industry. I think as long as you (1) fly on time, (2) don’t crash the plane, or (3) verbally abuse your customers, most people are glad. Anything remotely beyond that and they’re ECSTATIC! (;
