  1. Windows Live Writer — the best way to write and edit posts for any blogging software, especially offline
  2. FastStone Capture — the easiest way to grab and edit images
  3. Casio Exilim EX-S10 — the best way to snap quick close-up photos and blog-ready videos.

I like stock xchng (http://www.sxc.hu/) and flickr (advanced search CC license) for photos.
AddThis provides good, easy-to-use tools for social bookmarking and sharing.
Pingoat provides a good service to ping blog directories on new posts.
BTW, these quick blogging advice posts are awesome.

I wish there was a blog writing tool as good as Windows Live Writer on Mac! It’s surprising and shocking to me that one hasn’t emerged yet. I’ve tried Blogo, MarsEdit, etc. but none can compare to the GUI lushness and sheer “It just works! Ooh and I can embed Flash too!” of WLW.

don’t forget to check out all of the cool plugins for Windows Live Writer too that add stuff like auto posting to Twitter and inserting images from Flickr etc
