If I can’t save the logo off your web page, I’m not going to include it in a blog post.
Lesson: If you want people to spread word of mouth about you — make it easy.

You can save mine….
totally see what you’re saying – unfortunately a lot of large corporations still guard their “mark” because hey, they spent millions on it and they dont want anyone just snagging it and using it willy nilly.
Not even if that use means some free publicity that might even help out
Not just big corps either
Some might call that copyright infringement. Ah, cause it is.
Are you really a marketing person?
Amen to that. People who make me dig through their source code to find where it’s hidden as a background image deserve to be beaten with their own CSS files.
Here’s my logo – I am making it very easy for you

Aren’t corporate logos copyrighted? Is it legal to pull and feature a corporate logo?
It’s a quick test of what companies are just being companies and which ones are thinking outside the box.
(many apologies for using the one of the most overused phrases in the world).
Sure saving and copying someone’s logo is nice and all, but what about all the Phishing and spam messages pretending to be from your financial institution/online payment service/etc… being able to save their logo’s and reuse them as you wish is not so desirable… try linking to it vs. saving a local copy.
Cheers
It’s sort of sad to me that so many people’s immediate instinct is to worry about what can go wrong.
Marketing is supposed to be fun! Experiment, explore, be awesome!
There’s no reliable way to stop someone from ripping your logo off your site (just find the relevant IMG tag in the html and download it directly).
However you can make it hard, and that could result in a blogger not covering you.
