Andy, I think your lesson here is an important one. Enablement is definitely something we tend to overlook and underestimate. We must make it as easy as possible for people to talk and spread our message whether its an event, product, or personal brand.
Making it easy to do encourages viral marketing. I will be integrating this into my websites and blogs for now on. Thanks Andy!
Flow Festival here in Helsinki did just what you described.
They sent an email to all newsletter subscribers with a ready-made text and a link to their forum-friendly image.
